PROTOTYPE
Building the foam models
In the prototype process of the foam model, the body part of the product and charger part created. By using a side, front, and upside view of the product, all the measurements were set.
Sanding phase
Cutting the forms
After cutting the foams following the measurements, the sanding phase was processed. The sanding phase is the most time-consuming and important process in foam prototype making.
The red form used to create the good quality of the prototype. There was another type of foam, green foam, but that is too fragile to evaluate the handle so we chose the red foam.
Detailing phase
After finishing the sanding process, we made the surface smooth to spray the paint on the surface, and then, we started the colouring process.
To cover the surface, we sprayed the white colour paint multiple times, and then we covered the black colour part by taping the other parts to prevent the spoil of the white part.
To put details into the camera part, we painted the black colour inside of the transparent plastic dom so it looks glossy black lens. By putting detail such as the silver ring around the dom, it made the appearance of the part looks more realistic.

Test plan
To get the feedback of the handle in the ergonomic aspect, we will conduct the test.
By using the foam model, we will test in two aspects. First of all, we will test to evaluate whether the blind user can easily know which side is front and back by just grabbing the prototype with blind people or people who wear a blindfold. The next test is that we will request to grab the prototype again and get feedback from that experience about the feeling, shape, material and size of the handle. As a result, we can develop our product more ergonomically.
