PHASE 2

In phase 2 the best ideas of phase are converted into concepts. Here we decided to focus on the fridge/kitchen idea and did ideation for different devices that could help recognize products.

Ideation phase 2

After the initial idea generation and more researched it was decided to find a way to help visually impaired people to navigate around the fridge. The main problems that were stated were that our users forget what was in the fridge or forget a products until it starts going bad, that they don't know the expiration date and that they don't know the product they're holding in their hand because of similar packaging or because its just an unknown package . So in this phase we focused on solving at least one of these issues.

The concepts that were developed were the camera that is mounted in the fridge and can scan all products inside . This camera will be connected to an app (like the existing one) but it has more functions that are specifically for blind people (e.g. making a grocery list, reminders that the food is going bad etc. )

Another Concept was the barcode scanner that is mounted on the outside of the fridge.
